Seriously.. I just love these sandals (Not-A-Shoe!). I found Sanük a while back looking for a comfy sandal on the internet. One that you can slip on quick after a surf and that keeps your feet warm, since surfing here in the Netherlands is mostly a cold water affair. But there are some added benefits to buying Sanüks besides warm feet: the guys over there are very eco-conscious. The ‘Rasta Wombat‘ for instance has soles made out of recycled tires. The rest of the sandal consists of hemp, sustainable latex and cork. For this model Sanük worked together with eco-friendly surfer Dave Rastovich (Rasta), a truly inspiring person and athlete. The ‘Hemp‘ model also fits nicely in Sanük’s line of eco-fashion products using ‘renewable hemp’ as main sandal-ingredient.
I talked with the friendly guys over at Sanük (how can you not love eco-hippies!?) and they will send me a few pairs of Sanük sandals to give away! All to help us save the planet

Surfing in The Netherlands is cold! I think it is great these ’sandals’ from Sanük are eco-friendly, that goes allong great with the natureminded style of surfers.
I don’t love surfing, but I do love shoes!! And saving the planet of course…
I would love these sandals since i’m not able to wear shoes at the moment.
Due to a fin cut in my foot.
It would be lovely to walk my first steps in these warm & eco friendly shoes.
concidering the fact i’m walking in semi bare feet for the last couple of weeks in 2 degrees!
I am not a surfer, but I like the sandals and the idea of eco-friendlyness very much!
Wow I love these shoes! They look so comfi, just what you need after a long day of surf in Holland.
I need those shoes because they would help me to believe in good weather and nature. Two things we have a shortage of in my beloved flat land.
I am 53 years old and I want to look like my son!
Look at these sandals! They’re good looking, comfortable and environment friendly.. what’s not to love about them. Wouldn’t be surprised if this is going to be the biggest thing this summer. I want.. what am I saying I NEED Sanuk sandals for this summer!!!!!!!
Mais figueiras!
green AND for free! What else would I as poor student and even poorer surfer need?!
Somebody once said I look like John Locke. That is not true, but with sandals like these I wouldn’t feel so LOST…
Would love a pair!

Hello! I’m planning to help the SURFRIDER FOUNDATION EUROPE
OCEAN INITIATIVES 2010, on 20 and 21 march. On these two days more then 20.000 volunteers clean up the beach all over the world. It think it would be awesome if i could take part of this initiative on my eco friendly sanuk sandals!!!
Hubbie says he’s 53 and wants to look like his son. He lyin’: lookin’ 73 and lookin’like John Locke. Jasper Petulengro not lookin’like John Locke at all: he a Jokkiebo. Shoes nice: I’ll look like Beyoncé in them. All for eco too. Fan of Umberto since childhood. (Umberto Tan, that is)
I’d like a pair of these sandals to make up for my travels by airplane around the globe. I’m very eco-conscious, I buy vegetables of the season, travel by bike, wear lots of clothes instead of putting up the heater, mostly buy things second-hand as to not harm the environment, I don’t buy little plastic bottles of water..but I do travel..so I could promote them abroad as well as clear my conscience!
Normaly only ‘regular’ people call me a bum hippie..
Last months even my hippie friends call me a bum hippie..
Geuss i could use some shoes..
These i could affort!!
I look forward to make my lunches on these eco friendly shoes!
I love scandals, uhh sandals! I wanna win those because I am more Eco than Umberto.
Sanuk (not shoes!hehe) ARE THE MOST COMFORTABLE shoeware i’ve ever tried on. I want!!

Very cool website by the way! I’ll keep following your blogs guys!
Eco-friendly and foot friendly! What a lethal combination. It pains me to quote Britney Spears…but “Gimme More.”
These sandals look awesome! I need them because I am a surfer working to help the environment. I started an environmental consulting firm in Bali/ San Francisco and when I am not working you can find me surfing! Sanuk is awesome and I would love a pair of these shoes!

A brand of sandals that recycle & reuse (and are true to natural foot movements) are inspiring. Being able to wear a pair of Sanuks & boast about them is a great way to educate people & our children about what Sanuk are doing for the Planet Earth…every little bit helps, including wearing a pair of Sanuks!!
Love these sandals! I have a pair of flip-flops and they are so comfy, but I’d love to try the shoes, too, since I always have cold feet. Yeah for Sanuk for making with eco-friendly materials!
i heart the planet. as if these shoes were a direct gift from mother earth, in return to her, i will proudly give up driving and only walk, bike, or skateboard in these amazing sanuk sidewalk surfers.
my feet are in desperate need of a better environment!
I love these so much! I’m saving up my baby sitting money to buy a pair. And in case you didn’t know, thats kind of a big deal for a lazy sixteen yr old.
I would like these sandals,
because they’re shoes the earth can handle.
In these sandals I will walk many places,
and not have to tie shoelaces.
Because I hate having to deal with those things,
I don’t think I’m good with strings.
Which you could attest to after hearing me attempt guitar,
but thats detouring the subject too far.
Because… Finland’s colder than the Netherlands.
thanks! I can do with a new pair of shoes? I have size 44
